We are a community of believers whose desire is to spread the message of salvation and new life through Jesus Christ to people of all races and nationalities. People in our congregation come from a variety of nations, cultures and ethnic backgrounds. When you have a chance, please come and visit us in person! From the Pastor's Desk
As I think of our 8th Annual Korean Culture Festival, "Praise the Lord! Job Well Done," are two phrases immediately coming to my mind. "Praise the Lord," because without the help of Jesus Christ the festival could have been a chaos. Weather for the festival was perfect. It rained hard for several days leading up to the event, and the weather was cold and rainy immediately the festival. The sun on Saturday dried up all the wet grass outside prior to the Sunday festival. Partial sun on the day of the festival with the right amount of wind helped people enjoy the event outside and the kite flying. Thus, as I reflect on the festival, God's guiding hand and presence were everywhere, helping the families to enjoy the festival. "Job Well Done," because people worked hard and prepared the event in ways the invited families can truly focus and enjoy the festival without worrying about anything. About 300 or so people came to the event along with about 100 volunteers. Several families sent me emails afterwards, saying how much they have enjoyed the festival and appreciated the love and kindness shown by the people, particularly for the sacrificial and gentle love shown to their families. Everyone seemed to have genuinely loved the festival. For all your hard work under the guidance of the Lord, I give my deepest appreciation and love and respect to all of you. Once again, "thank you" for your dedication and hard work to be the agents of God's love. Many people were blessed by your love, and His name was glorified.

Summer Joint Worship Services
For the months of June, July and August, 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. worship services will be combined and offered at 10:00 a.m. After each worship, a luncheon will be provided in the fellowship hall.
Volleyball Court Opens
Behind the playground and next to the gazebo, a volleyball and badminton court is constructed. Though the place is created to help the church youth and young adult groups as well as the children, it certainly is open to anyone or any group in the church as well as from the community. We will officially dedicate the court on June 26 during the church picnic.
 
Community Garden Is Growing
The Coimmunity Garden is looking really good and fertile. Everything is green and getting taller each time you take a look. The garden is created to care for the poor and needy in the community. Do take a few moments of your precious time to view the wonderful work of volunteers. Look above the garden and you will see netting to keep the birds out. The irridescent discs also prevent unwanted "visitors" who cannot wait until harvest. A great big thanks to everyone for contributing in so many ways to make this garden a success.
 
Latin American Culture Festival: June 19
As part of the church's Quatemala Mission from July 25 through August 4 this year, the church will host a Latin American Culture Festival on June 19, 2011. Various kinds of Latin American foods from Quatemala, Columbia, Honduras, Argentina and Paraguay will be served during the lunch hour from 11:30 a.m. with the Paraguan marching band playing for the occasion. Various styles of Latin American music and dance performances will take place throughout the day. Salsa workshop will be offered, and the Paraguan folk dance troupe will perform, as well. Individual and team dance competition will begin at 3:00 p.m. Moonwalk will be provided for children for the event. People will be dressed up in their native clothes. Please come and support the mission team for the church's work with children in orphanages in Guatemea and treat you, your family and friends to a Latin American Culture festival with delicious food, beautiful music and passionate dance.
God's Co-op (Food) Pantry
To care for the needy neighbors in Bernardville and Basking Ridge ares, a food pantry is finally set up and in operation. With the help and full commitment and love from Women from Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church (Three W's: The Women, The Word and The Works), the food pantry has openned its door to the people in the community on June 8th. 92 people are being helped each month with groceries, fresh bread and baked goods. The community garden has been erected, and fruits and vegetables are planted and growing. When ready, the produce from the garden will be distributed, as well. If you would like to participate in caring for the needy folks in the community, please contact Ms. Karen Hanson or Rev. Kim at the church.
